- The salary for the role is Grade 15, ranging from £24,796 to £25,185 working 37 hours a week.
- This is a fixed-term contract until the end of March 2027.
- This role will be based at County Hall, Taunton.
- Annual leave entitlement for this grade is 25 days (or 28 days with more than 5 years continuous service).
What will I be doing?
We’re working to improve the lives of people in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:
- Managing the team inbox which will involve regular email and telephone communication.
- Being the first point of contact for the service, answering or forwarding enquiries appropriately.
- Contacting and processing new client referrals, recording client data confidentially by navigating the client database and booking system.
- Reacting to and supporting service and practitioner requirements as they occur including receipt of deliveries, appropriate storage, postage, booking venues, helping to arrange meetings, photocopying.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

- Excellent communication and organisation skills to be able to manage a busy schedule within this dynamic public health service.
- A real team player who thrives in a challenging and busy environment.
- IT skills – use of Microsoft Office packages such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Flexible, with a positive and committed attitude that helps you to adapt to the changing needs of our service.
- GCSE level, or NVQ Level 2, including English and Maths (grade C or above – or equivalent).
