- Permanent, full time position, 37 hours per week.
- 3 roles available working with communities across Somerset.
- This role will form part of a new and exciting team working face to face and virtually.
- There will be flexibility as to where you work in line with work commitments and requirements.
- There may also be requirements on occasion to attend meetings or event outside of normal office hours.
- 25 days annual leave, increasing to 28 after 5 years service.
- This role is new and unique, working with the local constabulary to manage Somerset’s response to community safety and ASB concerns across the police and council.
What will I be doing?
You’ll be helping to keep our communities across Somerset safe, through day-to-day work which focuses on addressing crime, disorder and anti-social behaviour (ASB).
Working across Somerset, this is a multi-agency role which ensures that anyone experiencing anti-social behaviour is able to report their concerns in confidence. You will be responsible for helping them achieve the best possible response and outcomes.
You’ll be engaging with the community, with a focus on hearing reports, giving advice and signposting, as well as supporting victims through to the end of an ASB case conclusion.
There will also be the opportunity to work with schools and other community safety partners on prevention, to help assist with early help and youth violence.
You’ll be responsible for a portfolio of case work which you will see through to conclusion, escalating cases where appropriate and supporting any case reviews required.
You will receive comprehensive training and development in ASB, community safety and enforcement.
