What will I be doing?
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to be a monitoring and enforcement officer within the Mineral and Waste team.
You will be working to ensure that developers are compliant with their permissions and to investigate any potential reported breaches across Somerset.
Working within the small but mighty mineral and waste team that sits within the wider planning service, you’ll be supported by a Principal Monitoring and Enforcement Officer, plus Policy and DM Officers.
There is a significant breadth of work and plenty of interesting projects within Somerset, making it an interesting team to work within.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
We are looking for someone with an attention to detail and ideally with experience of monitoring and enforcement within a Local Authority environment.
It should be noted however that related experience and transferable skills will be considered. It is also desirable that you would be (or be eligible to become) a Chartered Planner, or member of a similar organisation.
It would be ideal if you had some direct experience but if you feel ready to step up or across into this role, we’ll support and help you to develop into a more Senior role.
