What will I be doing?

We are working to improve the lives of people across the county of Somerset, accessing Adult Social Care services.  This job role is a Finance Assistant post working in Direct Payments Finance within the Transactional Team.  You will be a point of contact for customers, colleagues and external organisations requiring information regarding payments made to individuals.  This is a highly varied and interesting role that requires an eye for detail and a desire to provide excellent customer service.  Working as part of a team you will need to be organised and able to prioritise tasks.

  • Answering queries via e-mail and the telephone
  • Processing payments
  • Accurately inputting information on to the various systems we use

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

  • Have previous experience in a Finance based environment
  • Have knowledge or an interest in Local Government
