  • Based in County Hall Taunton with home-working on agreement.
  • 18.5 hours per week - hybrid working with one day a week in the office at County Hall in Taunton.
  • Hours can be worked flexibly across the week, with Wednesdays essential to enable attendance at team meetings and training.  
  • As a Senior Business Support Administrator, you will play a valuable part in assisting Operational colleagues, who support children, young people and their families. 
  • Working within a busy, collaborative and supportive administrative team, you would be undertaking a range of activities.   
  • 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) - pro rata for part time
  • This is a permanent post

What will I be doing?

This is an exciting opportunity to join Childrens Services as a Senior Business Operations Assistant who will provide specialist, high quality business support Childrens Services. This post is part of a wider Business Operations team supporting our Education Services.

We’re working to improve the lives of children, young people and their families here in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:

  • Data entry using a variety of platforms e.g., case management system
  • Processing work received in and out from schools, parents, agencies, and Health and Social Care
  • Direct liaison with schools and other local authorities

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you:

  • Extensive use of Microsoft Office 365 applications to process and monitor work, using Outlook, SharePoint and web platforms
  • Knowledge or experience of Data Protection and confidentiality
  • Administrative experience, working in an office environment
  • Working as part of team
