What will I be doing?
As part of the Pay and Reward Programme, you’ll be supporting a high-profile programme that is reshaping how we recognise and reward employees across the organisation. The Pay and Reward Programme is a major transformation project shaping the future of Somerset Council - and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:
- Providing high‑quality administrative and organisational support, including diary management, document control, meeting preparation, and tracking actions.
- Coordinating programme activities and maintaining accurate records, ensuring effective information governance, version control, and smooth workflow across stakeholders and contractors.
- Preparing, quality‑checking, and managing documentation, ensuring stakeholders receive timely, professional updates and queries are handled efficiently.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you:
- Excellent organisational skills and experience in senior administration or project support.
- Confident communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with Senior Leaders and external partners.
- A proactive, detail‑focused approach and strong skills in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Teams and SharePoint).
