Some key information
- We are looking to appoint a Cook within our team working up to 32 hours a week (Part time /Flexible hours are also available), on an annualised basis.
- You can expect a stable monthly salary, however hours worked will vary month to month- Summer is our peak period.
- The working day at Charterhouse starts at 7.30am with breakfast prep and finishes around 7.30pm with the clear up of the evening meal. You will be working in partnership with our Cook in Charge so you won’t have to do it all!
What will I be doing?
We’re working to improve the lives of people in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:
- Being party of a small friendly team.
- Delivering healthy, home cooked meals to our customers.
- Overseeing the kitchen and dining area cleanliness, food service and preparation of meals.
- Controlling the storage of food within prescribed guidelines, recording, and dating foodstuffs.
- Monitoring and maintaining the programme for high standards of kitchen and dining room cleanliness and hygiene, including the cleaning of machinery.
- Do not worry about packing lunch- we provide this on your working days!
