About the job

Some key information

  • We are looking to appoint a Cook within our team working up to 37 hours a week (Part time /Flexible hours are also available), on an annualised basis.
  • You can expect a stable monthly salary, however hours worked will vary month to month- Summer is our peak period.
  • Shifts start from 7.30am till 3.00pm and 2.30pm till 7.30pm, including occasional double shifts.
  • This role is permanent

 

What will I be doing?

We’re working to improve the lives of children in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:

• Delivering of daily meals for customers.

• Overseeing our Domestic Assistants which will include overseeing the dining area cleanliness, food service and preparation of meals.

• Controlling the storage of food within prescribed guidelines, recording, and dating foodstuffs.

• Monitoring and maintaining the programme for high standards of kitchen and dining room cleanliness and hygiene, including the cleaning of machinery.

• Do not worry about packing lunch- we provide this on your working days!
