What will I be doing?
We take our role as a Corporate Parent seriously and you will be working to continue to improve the lives and opportunities for children in Somerset. The role involves:
- Operational responsibility for teams in the East of the County, care planning for children in our care and care experienced and providing statutory services.
- Working closing with partners to improve access to services for children and young people.
- Having a clear and unwavering focus on the quality of social work practice and achieving the best outcomes for vulnerable children.
- Utilise quality assurance activity to understand service strengths and areas for development.
- Promote a learning environment and positive culture for our workforce.

Anything else I should know?
The post will manage teams based in Mendip and South Somerset and you can be based in either Yeovil or Shepton Mallet.
