  • You will be based at the new Ham Hill Visitor Centre, on this Iron Age Hillfort. This is a part-time permanent post. Ham Hill is accessible by car, cycling or walking but please note there is no direct public transport to the Visitor Centre.
  • You will be expected to work some evenings and weekends as the Visitor Centre will be open 7 days a week with some evening events throughout the year.
  • There are several positions available.

The Casual Barista role will help the exciting new Visitor Centre reach its true potential and hit financial and customer satisfaction targets by providing customers with welcoming and high-quality service in our café. You will be working with the Ham Hill ranger team to provide the excellent nature experience and visitor experience we aspire to.

What will I be doing?

We’re working to improve the visitor experience for people coming to Ham Hill Country Park– and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:

  • Preparing hot drinks, serving cake and pre-made food.
  • Operating the till system – taking payments from customers
  • Serving excellent coffee in a clean hygienic environment.
  • Assisting the Visitor Services Manager and Head Baristas with the smooth running of the site – helping to promote Ham Hill as a great place to visit.

 

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you:

  • Experience within a customer-focused role providing excellent customer service
  • Numerate with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Positive attitude
  • Great communication skills and a desire to learn about Ham Hill
