  • 25 days annual leave, additional to Bank Holidays.
  • Completion of a Level 4 Associate Project Manager apprenticeship at Weston College.
  • Fixed term apprenticeship contract until August 2028.

What will I be doing?

We’re working to improve the lives of young people in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:

  • Supporting the project management the Somerset Careers Hubs Future Ready Fund project – a 3 year £230,000 funded by JP Morgan.
  • Support in ensuring the evaluation of the project meets the expectations of the external evaluators
  • Supporting the delivery of other Careers & Pathways projects being delivered by the Somerset Careers Hub, Somerset Education Business Partnership & Supported Employment teams.
  • Compete tasks in line with occupational standards to ensure completion of the Level 4 Associate Project Manager apprenticeship

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you have:

  • GCSE Maths and English Grade C/4 or above.
  • Experience in coordinating tasks, working with stakeholders, or supporting project delivery is helpful but not mandatory
  • Core skills should include; ability to plan and organise work; effective written and verbal communication; budgeting and cost awareness; the ability to problem solve and adapt to change and previous experience of working with Microsoft software (e.g., Word & Excel)
  • Core behaviours should include; teamwork, with the ability to collaborate with others, passion for supporting the development of young people and a willingness to learn

The salary for this Level 4 Project Management Apprenticeship is Grade 15, ranging from £24,796 - £25,185 per annum.
