- One year Fixed Term position.
- £28,598 - £32,061 per annum
- Standard working hours are 37. Frequent unsocial working hours include early morning outreach and spotlight counts.
- 28 days annual leave, excluding bank holidays.
- The primary work location is County Hall in Taunton or Shape in Shepton Mallet, with opportunities for remote work as per organisational policies.
What will I be doing?
We’re working to improve the lives of people in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:
- Supporting complex need individuals in accommodation and providing the intensive support required to maintain the accommodation to prevent a return to rough sleeping.
- Take responsibility for a varied caseload of up to 15 clients.
- Working collaboratively with partner agencies, voluntary sector organisations as well as our own housing options team to achieve the best outcomes for our customers to support them to live independently.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you:
- Understanding of homelessness and rough sleeping issues.
- Knowledge of housing legislation and policies.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly those experiencing homelessness.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing support plans.
- Training in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques.
