Cleansing Operative

• Permanent role, 37 hours a week. Multiple working patterns available including some weekends.
• 25 Days Annual Leave.
• Outside working, in all weather conditions.
• Multiple roles available based in Frome and Burnham on Sea.

We’re working to improve the lives of young people in Somerset- and you’ll be a key part of that. As a Cleansing Operative, you will carry out cleaning operations across Somerset, to enhance and maintain the environment.

Your day-to-day work will involve:

• Carrying out street cleansing across Somerset. This includes litter picking, hand sweeping, bin emptying, fly tip removal and toilet cleaning.
• Driving a non-LGV vehicle and machinery and carrying out basic care and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
• Maintaining accurate and legible records that will include vehicle and machinery defect forms, pesticide application forms and incident forms.

We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you have:

• A good standard of Education.
• To be self-motivated and able to provide a quality level of service with minimum supervision.
• A Full UK Driving License.

The Salary for the Cleansing Operative role is Grade 15, ranging from £24,796 - £25,185 per annum.

• Based out of Frome Depot – Wednesday to Sunday 37 hrs over 5 days. 6am start.
• Based out of Burnham on Sea Depot – Covering Burnham, Highbridge, Cheddar area – Saturday – Wednesday 37 hrs over 5 days. 6am start.
