A scheme with a number of emergency and evacuation venues across Somerset
Sometimes, in an emergency, evacuation of a number of homes, businesses or communities is essential to the safety of everyone involved.
To make evacuation more efficient and less stressful, Somerset’s Civil Contingencies Partnership has introduced a new scheme called ‘Place of Safety’. The scheme is there to offer temporary shelter in an emergency for several hours.
