Description

Coronation Park in Bridgwater has a wide range of facilities including separate toddler and junior play zones, an outdoor gym and a dog agility ‘Bark Park’.

A park enhancement project which cost £230,000 was completed in December 2015.

The toddler play zone includes:

  • a double width slide
  • a 3m mound tunnel
  • a basket swing
  • a seesaw
  • a dish roundabout
  • two springers
  • traditional swings
  • a ‘sneak and peak’ multi-play unit with ten play and climbing elements
  • seating

The junior play zone includes:

  • a 25m zip wire
  • a slide
  • a sling shot swing
  • a swing
  • a trampoline
  • a ‘mission phantom’ multi-play unit which has twelve play and climbing elements
  • seating

The outdoor gym includes nine different exercise stations:

  • a lat pull down
  • a chest press
  • a leg press
  • a seated row
  • a hand cycle
  • a spinning bike
  • a cross trainer
  • a hand over hand
  • a ski machine

The dog walking area, known as the ‘Bark Park’ includes seating and gates as well as dog waste bins and a dog agility area with five items of equipment including an up and over and crawl tunnel.

The park also has a 15m by 10m basketball hoop and hard standing alongside a football area with two goal posts.

Coronation Park operates a voluntary smoking ban.
