Somerset Council is inviting dog lovers from across the county to enjoy a great day out as the Ham Hill Fun Dog Show returns to the Meadows at Ham Hill this Sunday 13 September.
Organised by the Council’s Ham Hill team and local organiser Donna McNeill, the Ham Hill Fun Dog Show celebrates our canine companions while raising funds for the Friends of Ham Hill charity, which supports projects across the country park.
Gates open at 10.30am, with a full programme of activities for dogs, owners and visitors to enjoy in the beautiful surroundings of one of Somerset’s most loved green spaces.
The event will feature 10 fun dog show classes, welcoming dogs of all breeds, ages and personalities, alongside the Ham Hill Challenge for energetic four-legged friends. The day will culminate in the much-anticipated Best in Show competition.
Entry is £2 per class, payable at ringside. Visitors are asked to bring cash, as mobile phone signal at the Meadows can be unreliable and card payments may not always be possible.
There will also be a range of local food and drink stalls, the popular Friends of Ham Hill tombola and plenty of family-friendly entertainment throughout the day.
The Ham Hill Dog Show is a fantastic community event and a wonderful opportunity for people and their pets to enjoy one of Somerset’s most treasured outdoor spaces.
Events like this help people connect with nature, support wellbeing and bring communities together, while also raising valuable funds for the Friends of Ham Hill. We are proud to support activities that help keep Ham Hill special for everyone that visits.
