When working with families and residents in Somerset, use the #Help4All information sheet as a tool to highlight available early help services.

Providing access to these services and resources can help to remove the initial barrier. For example, logging into the online service so individuals can try it, connecting them with a support line or taking them down the road to join a community group.

This could involve sharing the new information sheet linked below, linking to the Connect Somerset website or, even better, having a meaningful conversation with the families and/or resident you are supporting guiding them on the offer of support that’s available.

As a professional, try giving the three Ts a go, Think, Talk, Try.

1.Think about what else would help (the #Help4All website is a good start)
2. Talk about the help available (local, county and digital)
3. Try it out! Introduce them to something that can help. For example, log into the online service so they can try it or take them down the road to join a community group

#Help4All is part of the Connect Somerset programme, which aims to make it easier for Somerset families and residents to get the help they need and to get it early.

#Help4All also provides support for children and young people making sure that Somerset services live up to their promises in the Somerset Children and Young People’s Plan. For more information on the Plan, visit: www.somerset.gov.uk/somerset-children-and-young-peoples-plan.
