Work starts next month to repair a section of the A396 Cutcombe Hill in Exmoor.
The road will be closed overnight between 7pm to 7am each weekday from 9 February.
It will be open during the daytime and at weekends.
The closure will be in place for approximately 3 weeks.
Temporary traffic signals are currently in operation, and these will remain in place outside of working times to protect the site and for public safety.
The working hours should also avoid disruption to the Snowdrop Valley event held between 24 January and 22 February.
Advance signage will be in place at the site 2 weeks before the works begin to inform the travelling public.
If works complete sooner than estimated, the road will be reopened.
