Somerset Business Hub and Heart of the South West (HoTSW) Growth Hub jointly hosted a free networking event for small and medium-sized enterprise (SMEs) to learn about digital storytelling.

The networking event took place in Wanstrow, near Frome and welcomed a mix of businesses, including digital production companies, hospitality, publishing and consultancy companies.

The aim of the event was to help SMEs master the art of digital storytelling, how to harness digital technologies and signpost to further support.

There were guest speakers from HoTSW Growth Hub, Somerset Business Hub, South West Cyber Resilience Centre and Snappy SUPS, who provided insight into marketing, social media and online security.

Cllr Ros Wyke, Lead Member for Economic Development, Planning & Assets, said:

Looking after our businesses in these challenging financial times is important to the Council, and we want to ensure Somerset’s SMEs have all the tools and skills available to navigate in this digital world.

We hope that by hosting these themed networking events, it will enable businesses to learn something new and have the opportunity put themselves out there to potential clients.

A special thanks goes to the guest speakers who took time out of their day to share their knowledge and expertise to support their fellow businesses.
