Somerset Parent Carer Forum has brought all of its parent support groups together under a new name: Finding Your Way.

Led by parent carers with lived experience of raising children and young people with additional needs and disabilities, the groups provide welcoming spaces where families can connect, share experiences, ask questions and access support.

The new Finding Your Way Groups bring together Somerset Parent Carer Forum’s existing support groups under one clear and consistent name, making it easier for families to find the help they need. The network is also expanding, with a new group launching in Ilminster.

Alongside the face-to-face groups, parent carers can also access support through the Finding Your Way Online Closed Group, offering a space to share experiences, ask questions and stay connected.

Somerset Parent Carer Forum has also recently launched its new Finding Your Way Navigator Journal, designed to help families navigate their SEND journey and make the most of the support available.

Whether you are at the start of your SEND journey or looking for support further down the road, the Finding Your Way groups offer a welcoming space to connect with other families, share experiences and access information from people who understand.
