Somerset Council road contractors Kier will be doing vital drainage works on the A361 at Pilton from 9 to 13 March. This is to complete works following a previous visit.
The road will be closed on weekdays from 9.30am to 3.30pm. Outside these times the site will be covered by 2-way traffic signals, manually controlled to help reduce disruption.
Extra signs at either end of the A361 will be put in place to advise of the closure times and location.
Somerset Council’s Lead Member for Transport and Waste Services, Councillor Richard Wilkins, said:
The team will do their best to get the work completed as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drainage work is essential to make sure that surface water can drain away.
We are extremely grateful to residents and motorists for their support and understanding while this work is done.
If you spot a problem on the road you can report it quickly and easily via the Council’s Report a problem on the road webpage.
