The road will be closed on weekdays only from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
While the road is closed there will be a signed diversion via Blackdown Hill and Wellington.

During the closure a shuttle bus funded by Somerset Council and operated by Hatch Green Coaches will serve the section of the 97 service between Canons Grove and Trull Stores.

Outside of these hours temporary lights will be in place. The road will be clear at the weekend.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout for residents – there may be some restrictions or delays for vehicle access on occasion to some properties and residents should liaise with the site team on this.

Somerset Council’s Lead Member for Transport and Waste Services, Councillor Richard Wilkins said:

The team will do their best to get the work completed as quickly and efficiently as possible – please do liaise with them if you are a resident and need to raise any issues around access.

We are extremely grateful to residents for their support and understanding while this work is done.
