Somerset Council is advising residents that there may be delays to recycling collections today (Wednesday 15 October 2025), due to a range of operational issues.
Some residents in and around the following areas may be affected:
- Stoke Sub Hamdon
- Montecute
- parts of Yeovil.
If residents’ recycling has not been collected on the day it’s scheduled, they’re asked leave boxes and bags out and crews will return the next day – there’s no need to report it.
Crews will be working to try to make sure recycling is collected and will be working on Saturday if needed.
If it’s been more than 24 hours and the recycling has not been collected, then residents should report a missed collection.
