Prompt payment statistics

Introduction

We are required by the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 to publish details on the percentage of invoices that are paid within 30 days. Interest may be liable to suppliers if invoices are not paid on time and the amount Somerset County Council was liable to pay will also be included in the future.

Due to school holidays over the summer there is an annual dip in payments each September. However, as more schools change to become academies this should improve.

We provide files in CSV format. CSV is a simple text format for a database table. It is useful in publishing data, as it is machine readable, and allows for easier reuse and analysis.
