Kingston St Mary Neighbourhood Plan
Somerset Council approved the designation of the Neighbourhood Area for the Kingston St Mary Neighbourhood Plan on 30 May 2023. The area to which the designation relates is the whole of the parish as identified in the map in the document below.

Regulation 16 Consultation
Kingston St Mary Parish Council have submitted a Neighbourhood Development Plan (The Plan) to Somerset Council. The Plan sets out a vision for the future and policies which may be used to determine planning applications in the Neighbourhood Plan Area. The regulations require these proposals to be consulted on before The Plan can progress to Independent
Examination. Consultation will run from Thursday 23 November 2023 till Thursday 11 January 2024.
It has been decided to extend the current period of consultation to 19 January in the light of the recent publication of the new National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) to allow any comments to be made on any implications which arise from the publication of the new NPPF on the Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) meeting the basic conditions.

Referendum
Somerset Council has accepted the Independent Examiners Report and its recommendations. A referendum on the Kingston St Mary Neighbourhood Plan will take place on Thursday 2 May 2024. The published documents for the referendum are below.
