Public Inquiry relating to the Somerset Planning South (former South Somerset District Council) for Lawful Development Certificate comprising proposed alterations from existing use to seventy-five touring caravans.

An Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State will hold an Inquiry opening at 10am on the on Tuesday 7th November 2023 to decide the appeal.

    Appeal Proposal: Application for Lawful Development Certificate for the proposed use of land for the siting of up to sixty touring caravans and for those touring caravans to remain sited throughout the year and be occupied for human habitation of any type including as a persons sole or main place of residence on land shown hatched red on the submitted site plan which forms part of the overall use of land as a 9 hole golf course, driving range, clubhouse, parking shower/toilet block, and pond for coarse fishing

    Appeal Proposal: Application for Lawful Development Certificate for a proposed use relating to land hatched red on the submitted site plan, comprising proposed alterations from an existing use of a golf course, coarse fishing and up to sixty touring caravans to a golf course, coarse fishing and up to seventy five touring caravans

The Public Inquiry will be held in person on the 7th November 2023 at the Council Chamber, Somerset Council Offices, Brympton Way, YEOVIL BA22 2HT

An Inspector appointed by the Department of Communities and Local Government under paragraph 1 (i) of schedule 6 to the Town & Country Planning Act 1990 will preside. You may attend the Public Inquiry virtually if you so wish and, at the Inspector’s discretion, will be allowed to present any views that you have on the matter. Inquiry Attendance The first two days of the Inquiry will be held in person and then it will move to virtual. However, the whole inquiry, including the first two days, can still be viewed virtually.
