What we do
It is an offence for a person to paint, inscribe or fix any picture, letter, sign or other mark on the surface of a highway or on any tree, structure or works on the highway, and it is our responsibility to remove it.
Depending on the nature and location of the signs and graffiti, we will either remove or if we know who it is, ask the person responsible to remove them.
Unless the graffiti is deemed to be offensive or obscene it will be removed in line with routine refurbishment or as and when resources will allow.
You can report flyposting or graffiti here.
For flyposting or signs that are not on the highway, please contact your local district council.
