Description
Inaura School is an independent SEND school for pupils with complex educational, social, emotional and mental health needs. We provide day placements for Somerset, Bath and North East Somerset (BathNES), North Somerset and Bristol. Our Key Stage 2-3 learning centre is located in Wedmore. Our Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 learning centres are in Burrowbridge and Street. Our Outdoor Learning Centre is in Godney.
All of our students have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and are placed with us through their local authority. We work with students who have encountered challenges in mainstream, Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) and other special school settings. Many of our students have experienced failure in multiple educational settings, which is why we do things a little differently.
We have a relational and non-coercive philosophy which focuses on building trust and removing barriers to learning. We aim for all of our students to be healthy and happy while inspiring them to overcome personal obstacles to help them enjoy learning again.
