Ashborn Mentoring provides flexible, trauma-informed and Thrive-aligned mentoring for children and young people with special educational needs or social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs across Somerset. Sessions are tailored to each individual, focusing on emotional regulation, confidence-building, and developing strategies that improve wellbeing, relationships, and engagement in learning.

Led by a licensed Thrive Adolescent Practitioner, I combine professional training with lived experience to create a safe, non-judgemental space where young people can be heard, understood, and supported to grow at their own pace. I currently offer sessions directly to families and young people, with plans to expand into school and community-based settings.

My work supports autistic, ADHD, and neurodivergent learners, including those who find traditional education settings challenging or are accessing part-time or alternative provision. Each session is built around the young person’s needs and interests, using creative activities, discussion, and reflection to help them connect thoughts, feelings, and behaviours in ways that make sense to them.

Mentoring can take place in person within the Taunton area or online via secure video sessions. Sessions typically last 45 to 60 minutes, with flexible timings during school hours or after school. Costs vary depending on format and frequency, and bespoke packages can be arranged for ongoing or family-based support.

Ashborn Mentoring is ideal for young people who experience anxiety, low self-esteem, emotional regulation difficulties, or challenges with masking and transitions, and for parents or carers seeking compassionate, neuro-affirming guidance from a qualified Thrive professional.
