Description
Children and Young People’s Therapy Service – CYPTS
Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech and Language Therapy for children and young people aged up to 19 years.
Our therapy service for children and young people is a community service for people in Somerset aged up to 19 years who have, for example, difficulties with:
- talking and communicating
- eating, drinking or swallowing
- mobility and posture
- physical skills such as balance and co-ordination
- movement (motor) skills
- sensory processing
- thinking (cognition) skills
We can offer advice and have an open referral system so anyone can refer a child provided they have the young person’s or parental consent.
All children and young people develop differently. There are some common problems that can be improved with some practical advice. You can ring our telephone advice line to speak to one of our therapists on the number listed here. If your child is already known to our integrated therapy service please contact your local team. You can find details about your local team in letters or reports you have received from us.
