Description
Move the Mind Learning offers alternative provision for children and young people who are out of school or struggling to attend school full-time, providing bespoke packages based on their individual needs and interests.
Move the Mind Learning runs from the Move the Mind Foundation Site, providing a supportive and nurturing environment where children and young people can access a combination of academic, practical and outdoor learning. Our full day packages are bespoke to each child and may include SEN1:1 tutoring with qualified teachers, 1:1 or group forest school, mentor sessions, horse and animal care, and riding sessions. Packages are designed around each child’s individual needs, interests and learning goals, in learning pathway meetings with our onsite SENCO.
We work with schools, parents, carers and other professionals to understand each young person’s needs and identify the most suitable package of support. We can discuss the young person’s current circumstances, interests and desired outcomes before a placement begins.
Accessing our service: Referrals can be made by schools, local authorities, parents/carers or other professionals. Please contact Move the Mind Learning via the website to discuss a potential placement, availability and the young person’s individual needs. An initial visit can also be arranged where appropriate.
Timings and costs: Full day packages run from 9.30am to 2.30pm. Individual services can be booked separately, allowing flexible packages to be created around the hours your child will access. Costs vary depending on the services and level of support required. Please contact us for current pricing and availability.
