The aim of this group is to enable local families to meet once a month at the Minehead Eye. We invite various SEN guest speakers and professionals to attend each month to share their professional knowledge, and skill up parents. We then follow this with a creative activity to enable parents to relax and enjoy themselves.

There is always plenty of tea and coffee, time to chat, as well as play facilities and helpers for those who need to bring children with them. We focus on parents with children up to nine-years-old, and like to involve parents right at the beginning in planning what they need.

We really want this to be driven by the parents, to help them put their requirements forward, and then explore how to meet these. We also work closely with local agencies who support Special Educational Needs and to provide a welcoming environment for local families to meet.
