Description

Support for carers is woven through the values of St Margaret’s Hospice. They strive to be patient centred, compassionate and respectful to individual needs and deliver high quality responsive care.

They are not just here to support the person who is ill, but the people who care for them throughout.

Caring frequently brings challenges, rewards and a whole range of emotions that you may not feel ready for.

When you care for someone with a life-limiting illness, it’s perfectly natural to focus on their needs and forget about your own. A balance between the two will help to support your own wellbeing and resilience.

As well as meeting others in similar situations, our trained volunteers are there to:

  • Be a listening ear
  • Provide information
  • Provide support
  • Help signpost to other services
