Dare2Dream 1:1 Service Offer

Dare2Dream 1:1 service provides county-wide personalised, trauma-informed alternative provision designed to support young people experiencing barriers to education, including those affected by adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), social, emotional and mental health needs, or disengagement from learning. The provision is primarily aimed at short-term intervention, stabilisation, re-engagement and successful transition back into mainstream education, specialist settings, further education or other appropriate pathways. Dare2Dream support can be facilitated in school, in the local community, within the young persons home and through utilisation of our Dare2Dream Hubs/ local community venue hire.

Each learner receives an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) developed through consultation with the learner, family and professionals. Provision is underpinned by Boxall Profile assessment, enabling targeted support across emotional, social, behavioural and academic development. Learning is tailored to individual strengths, needs and goals, with flexible pacing and a focus on building confidence, resilience, emotional regulation and readiness for education.

This provision is particularly suitable for commissioners seeking a highly individualised trauma-informed intervention that prioritises re-engagement, emotional wellbeing, personal development and sustainable reintegration into education.

The curriculum combines:

• Personalised and goal-focused learning.
• Accessible and inclusive therapeutic approaches.
• ASDAN-accredited learning opportunities.
• Mentoring and positive role model engagement.
• Personal development, emotional wellbeing and relationship-building.
• Transition and reintegration planning.

Progress is monitored through regular assessment, ILP reviews, professional meetings and outcome reporting, ensuring interventions remain responsive and focused on measurable learner progress and successful educational outcomes.

Delivery model:

• Half day session (up to 3 hours)
• Full day session (up to 6 hours split across two sessions)

Post-16 & Post 19 Provision Offer

Dare2Dream provides bespoke post-16 alternative provision for young people who may not be able to access or thrive within mainstream sixth form or college environments. The provision offers flexible, personalised and holistic programmes designed to support successful transition into adulthood, further education, training and employment. Dare2Dream support can be facilitated at our Post 16 Hub (subject to location), in the local community, within the young persons home or local community venue hire.

Programmes are tailored to individual needs, aspirations and EHCP outcomes where applicable, and can be delivered through full-time or part-time placements, on-site, in the community, through blended learning, or via one-to-one and small-group interventions. Provision is underpinned by trauma-informed, relationship-based practice and a strong focus on emotional wellbeing, resilience and social development.

The curriculum combines:

• Functional Skills qualifications in English and Mathematics (Entry Level to Level 2).
• Personal and Social Development programmes focused on independent living, communication, personal safety, money management, community participation and preparation for work.
• AQA Unit Awards and individualised learning linked to EHCP outcomes.
• Employability, vocational tasters and careers guidance.
• Personal development opportunities, including First Aid, enterprise projects and a UCL-accredited Young Entrepreneur’s Programme.

This Provision is particularly suitable for commissioners seeking a highly personalised post 16 programme that develops independence, employability, life skills and emotional wellbeing, while supporting learners towards sustainable education, training, employment and preparation for adulthood
