I am delighted to introduce the latest edition of SEND News and hope that all our readers have enjoyed a lovely Easter.   

This month’s edition is packed with information, updates, and a number of dates for events, with a particular focus area around Autism with this month being World Autism Month.  One article I would draw your attention to is the Community Inclusion and Activity Team calendar which has a wealth of information about activities available to children and families. 

As Strategic Manager for Inclusion Transformation and Partnership I am excited that this month’s edition is the first to be produced by our new Somerset Council Inclusion engagement and communication team.  In a later edition I will ensure they introduce themselves to you.   

This month we have also worked in partnership with Health and the Somerset Parent Carer Forum in our production of this newsletter and this co-production will continue to evolve over the coming months as we work to develop the newsletter to ensure it meets all our intended reader’s needs.
