We want to hear from you. This includes professionals, families, parent carers, children, young people and health staff.
Somerset Council, NHS Somerset and Somerset Parent Carer Forum work together to understand and develop SEND services. The survey helps everyone share their views. You can tell us what worked well and what needs to improve based on your experience over the past year.
SEND Survey 2025
The survey for parent carers ran from 22 May to 6 July 2025.
We received 281 responses. We reviewed all feedback and shared it with the right teams.
SEND Survey 2022
The survey ran from 13 June to 19 September 2022. Children, young people, families, health staff and council staff could all take part.
We received 293 responses. We reviewed all feedback and shared it with the right teams. Early findings were shared with the Children and Families Scrutiny Committee.
This feedback helped shape our SEND Strategy , published in June 2023.
Our key focus areas:
- Working together: I can achieve my outcomes because me, my family and staff working across SEND Services are working together.
- Getting help as early as possible: Me and my family can access the right support at the right time.
- Access to the right support and provision: I understand the support and provision that is available to me, and I can access it, if I need it.
- Preparing for the future: I have the right skills and options, according to my individual needs, to take control of my future and to achieve the ambitions important to me.
