With the help of Somerset parents and carers, Somerset Partnerships have created a toolkit which has lots of information to support parents and carers with the job of ‘being a parent’.

Offering free resources and services that can help with understanding what to look out for, how to get support and even some simple ways you can help your child at home.

Tiny Happy People
With tips for during pregnancy to activities to try with your toddler this website includes lots of fun play ideas to encourage children’s communication skills.  Includes SEND resources and activities for parents to try at home from pregnancy to age 5.

Talking Point
This is run by Speech and Language UK and has many resources, information and ideas about supporting children’s communication with a specific area for parents. The site also offers a free ‘Enquiry Service’ for you if you have questions.
