Why we publish Open Data

The aim of open data in the public sector is to increase transparency across Government and allow anyone to re-use public sector information.

We publish data electronically for you to use. All we ask is that where you copy, publish, distribute or transmit the data you credit us as the source.

All ‘open data’ is released under the open government licence. Usage of the data indicates your acceptance of the terms and conditions contained within the licence.
