  • 22.5 hours per week, worked across three 7.5‑hour days. Monday and Friday are required working days; the third day can be chosen by the successful candidate.
  • This is an office‑based role in Shepton Mallet. Please note that although the job description references County Hall in Taunton, this post is not based there.
  • Annual Leave entitlement is 25 days pro rata.
  • The post requires the handling of sensitive and confidential information and therefore attention to detail and an ability to work under pressure and as a team player is essential.
  • Salary is £15,078 - £15,315 per annum for 22.5 hours per week

What will I be doing?

We’re working to improve the lives of children and families in Somerset; this role will be helping to improve health and wellbeing, and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:  

  • Supporting Health Visitors, Assistant Practitioners and Team Leads deliver a comprehensive service to children and families in Somerset.
  • Working as a team with Clinical Business Operations Assistants across the county to innovate processes and provide consistent support to all services.
  • Handling sensitive and confidential data, maintaining comprehensive and accurate records.

You will be working with our East Somerset team primarily based in Shepton Mallet, helping to improve the health and wellbeing of young people and their families in Somerset by providing critical administrative support to frontline practitioners. The role may occasionally require travel to other bases to support operational needs.
