Printing in the library from your own device

Information about wireless printing from your own devices

Update December 2022

Unfortunately, we are currently unable to provide reliable Wi-Fi self-service printing for customers bringing in their own devices and have withdrawn the facility from all libraries until further notice. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.

Customers can print from our public access PCs or by emailing documents from your personal device to the individual library email address provided by staff when you are on site in a library, and this will be printed for you. Black and white, and colour printing is available in both A4 and A3 at all libraries for a small charge. Please see our fees and charges page for more information.

Please note – documents emailed to library staff for printing will be deleted immediately after printing in keeping with our General Data Protection Regulation requirements.

We hope to launch a new Wi-Fi printing solution within the next months. However, we are reliant on the availability of Somerset Council ICT resources which are currently focused on work to support the setting up of the new Somerset Council. We are unable to estimate when customer self-service Wi-Fi printing will return.
