We have made a number of updates to the Local Offer to help you find the information and support you need more easily.

Health section improvements

The health menu has been reorganised to make it clearer and easier to use. You can now find services by need, which helps you quickly get to the right information without having to search through multiple pages.

We have also added new pages to fill gaps and improve support:

  • Learning and developmental needs
A new page explains the differences between learning difficulties and learning disabilities.
  • Sleep and additional needs
This new page offers trusted sources of advice to support sleep, which we know can have a big impact on wellbeing for children and families.
  • Children’s short breaks
We spotted not many people were opening the PDF version of our Short Breaks Statement and so were unclear of the offer. Key information has now been provided on the website to make it easier to find.
  • Local NHS and Right to Choose assessments – a guide for parent carers to find out more about Autism and ADHD assessment routes (including a video).

Waiting times updated

We have updated the average waiting times for:

This helps you understand current demand and what to expect while you wait.

Your feedback is making a difference

The SEND Partnership has published a response to last year’s annual SEND survey. This explains what families and young people told us, and what is changing as a result. Don’t forget this year’s survey is now open until 24 August.

We will continue to update the Local Offer based on your feedback. These changes are part of our work to make information clearer, more joined up and easier to use.
