Eastfields of Bowers Hill delivers specialist therapeutic alternative provision through equine-assisted learning, animal care and nature-based education, empowering children and young people with additional needs to re-engage with learning, develop emotional resilience and achieve positive lifelong outcomes.
Our aim is to improve engagement, attendance, emotional wellbeing and educational outcomes by providing an individualised programme that recognises each young person’s strengths, interests and barriers to learning.
We strive to develop confidence, resilience, independence and life skills while supporting successful transitions into education, further learning, employment or adulthood.
Placement costs are determined on an individual basis and reflect the specific needs, level of support and bespoke programme required by each young person. Following an initial consultation and assessment, Eastfields will provide a detailed costed proposal based on the agreed provision, staffing requirements and intended outcomes.
Programmes are individually designed and may include:
- Equine-assisted learning
- Animal care and welfare
- Farm-based education
- Outdoor learning
- Environmental and conservation activities
- Practical vocational skills

- Personal, social and emotional development
- Communication and relationship-building
