Description
Based on a small farm just two minutes from Junction 21 of the M5 in Weston-super-Mare, Farm Foundations provides alternative learning provision for students from year one to post-16. We work with commissioning schools to deliver part of a students school week or with the local authority for those who are not attending school and deliver on a one to one or small group basis depending on the needs of the student.
We offer roll-on start days, so we take referrals all year. Timetables are personalised to ensure students are developing skills and knowledge appropriate to their goals and targets and at a pace which meets their needs.
Alongside daily animal practical and theory, students can study national curriculum subjects, including maths, English, science, life skills and programmes of PSHE, but on an individualised basis and with a therapeutic approach. When being in the classroom is too challenging, we can take the learning outside or bring the animals in!
