Hidden Woods provides specialist woodland-based alternative provision for children and young people who may struggle to access traditional education due to SEMH needs, autism, anxiety or school-based trauma. We support those out of school, attending part time, or requiring EOTAS and transition placements. Sessions take place in a calm, low demand woodland environment and are delivered on a 1 to 1 basis, enabling young people to build trust with a consistent adult and engage at their own pace.
Our approach is relationship-based and trauma-informed, supporting emotional regulation, confidence and re-engagement with learning through practical, interest-led activities such as bushcraft, creative projects and outdoor exploration. The woodland environment provides a safe, therapeutic space where young people can feel understood, reduce anxiety and maintain engagement with education while longer term provision is identified.
