Somerset Waste Plan

Introduction

We have begun to update our evidence base to inform a review of the Somerset Waste Core Strategy (adopted 2013). The results of this work will become a new Somerset Waste Plan.

One of the first topic areas we are reviewing is inert waste. We have prepared a revised topic paper on inert waste, which is available in the Downloads section of this page. In July 2016 we held a series of three breakfast seminars on inert waste to discuss the current position with a range of industry representatives.

What it is

We have prepared a topic paper on anaerobic digestion (AD). Version 1 of this paper is available for in the Downloads section of this page.
