Description
Winter schedule applies until 31 March.
Call the recycling site in advance if taking bulky, hazardous or unusual items, to check disposal requirements or capacity.
All centres are closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
All recycling sites accept natural undecorated Christmas trees for composting.

For safety reasons pedestrian access is not permitted at this recycling centre.
Please note – roofing felt that contains bitumen is classified as a hazardous waste and therefore can only be disposed of via the commercial facility located near the Taunton (Priorswood) recycling centre. Ask site staff for details and for prices see Business Waste Services.

Vehicle Restrictions
When visiting any Somerset recycling site with your household waste, your vehicle or trailer may need a permit. Both vehicle and trailer size are restricted. Permits are free, only available to Somerset residents, and must be displayed on all visits.

Charges
Charges
Charges must be paid by card – not cash or cheque – at all sites for disposal of materials not classified as household waste: asbestos; gas bottles; hardcore, including stone, rubble, clay, tiles, ceramic/porcelain sinks, baths, toilets and construction materials; plasterboard; soil; tyres and vehicle parts.
Cash will still be taken by the Reuse Shop in Taunton Recycling Centre.
