Overview

The therapist will meet with you and your child to look at what is working and what is not. They will help you update your child’s sensory plan and share new ideas to support them. The appointment takes about one hour and happens in a clinic. Your child can play with toys while you talk. The therapist may try some simple activities to see how your child responds. They might use some sensory equipment, but this is not a full assessment.

At the end, we will update your child’s plan so you know how to support them next at home.

If your child’s needs are not due to sensory issues but they still find daily tasks hard, the occupational therapist will arrange a more detailed assessment to see how we can help.
